Daphne Zelle is a mixed AAPI actor/writer/director. An ex-professional ballet dancer, she trained at Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. on merit scholarship before eventually discovering her love for pretending to be other people. She graduated from NYU with a BA in drama and creative writing and went on to appear in shows including a recurring role KAI in And Just Like That (HBO Max), Inventing Anna (Netflix), and Smile 2 (Paramount). In addition, she wrote and directed her first short film Your Face, which premiered at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film Festival. In her spare time, Daphne enjoys reading, making and eating cake, and watching cult horror films.
